About the Doctors
Dr. Melanie A. Hemmer grew up in a small town in southern
Illinois. After graduating from high school, she attended
Southern Illinois University - Carbondale. She received her
Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University
in 2002, graduating magna cum laude.
In 2004, Dr. Hemmer earned a Master's Degree in Vision
Science and completed a residency in Binocular Vision and
Pediatrics. After practicing optometry for a short time in Las
Vegas, Dr. Hemmer and her husband (also an optometrist)
moved to Reno in January 2005.

| Where to find us Dr. Melanie Hemmer has moved! She is now located inside Meadowood Mall across from Bully's. Dr. Aaron Hemmer has been located next to the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Carson City (on College Parkway) for three years. |
Dr. Aaron J. Hemmer grew up in Grand Island, Nebraska.
After graduating from high school, he attended the
University of Nebraska in Lincoln. He received his Doctor of
Optometry degree from The Ohio State University in 2004.
Dr. Hemmer completed a residency in ocular disease with Eye
Care Associates of Nevada in July 2005.
